Open Letter to Martin's Mother

For the the past four years my daughter and I have been looking into how we can open our home, lives and family to a child who needs us. As an only child, my daughter has been dying to have a younger sibling. When a family in our community adopted a young boy from Africa my daughter decided she wanted us to adopt a little boy from South America. The agencies that facilitate foreign adoptions assess extremely high fees for their services. Unfortunately, if I use my savings to pay the fees then I'll have little left to use for enriching the life of my young new charge.

I want mothers like Martin's to know that there are people who want to help them give their children wonderful lives. Either through adoption or compassionate support.
